County Brighton was launched with its first event back in November 2006 by a group of people wishing to encourage the growth of Irish artistic endeavour along the Sussex coast, principally in Brighton and Hove.
About the Website
The website was launched during February 2007 as an online focal point for supporters of Irish events in Brighton and Hove to engage with one another.
The website was put together by the Celtic and Irish Cultural Society, the society based in Crawley, West Sussex. It looks similar to the website operated by the CICS but it is much more advanced. In fact, we were the first group to start using the new software. It allows a simple online login to access all the information that we as a community group may need.
What’s different about it? Simple, we can login from anywhere in the world. You can become involved with us even if you are at the other side of the world. Want to write an article or post a poem, no problem. This website will help us build and interact with the Irish community locally and allows us to always keep in touch.
